An exciting opportunity has arisen for an SLT Manager of the North West Glasgow community paediatric SLT team. The post is full time and permanent. You will be responsible for managing the service in the identified service areas, encompassing the full range of Speech and Language Therapy client groups from birth to 18 years. This is a professional leadership role with the remit of managing the speech & language therapists and clinical support workers in the team. You would be supported by the team leaders, the SLT Manager will ensure quality and delivery of SLT services across all community settings. The manager has a key role in managing; monitoring and developing contracted services with the local education authority in the designated area. You will be working as a senior lead within the designated HSCP, the post holder will plan and communicate with Education Authorities, Psychological Services, Health and Social Care partners at a strategic level. You will work with SLT Managers from other GG & C SLT Localities, to ensure governance and development of SLT services in line with national, board and local priorities. In addition there is a requirement to carry a clinical caseload and provide clinical leadership and governance for team members. You will be able to evidence excellent leadership in paediatric SLT services; have significant experience in managing a range of paediatric clinical conditions as well as experience of planning and delivering service with multi agency colleagues. You should have a Degree in Speech and Language Pathology and Therapeutics and a Certificate to Practice as a Speech and Language Therapist as awarded by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. You should also be currently registered to practise as a speech and language therapist with Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday.
