As a major division within the NHS National Services Scotland the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in new product development biomedical research and donor / clinical services. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards to patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive.

We are currently seeking a Programme Administrator to provide a high level of office administration services within the SNBTS Better Blood Transfusion Team. This post is a six fixed term contract (secondment will be considered), 18.75 hours per week and is based in Edinburgh. It offers a good opportunity for someone seeking to increase their personal development and enhance their administrative skills.

You should have proven experience in a similar role and have good verbal and written communication skills. Along with well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working, an in-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages is required e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You should also possess accurate minute taking skills. An ability to work well within a team is essential.


Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
