The post holder should have a significant level of experience of delivering major capital projects within a healthcare environment.  This will include all aspects of the SCIM process and business case development and engagement with key stakeholders. The post holder needs to demonstrate good understanding of user requirements, HAISCRIBE, Health & Safety and contractor management. They will also be expected to manage the internal team and undertake corporate responsibilities for staff training and development, absence monitoring and objective setting. 


The successful candidate will have a Degree and a relevant postgraduate Management qualification or equivalent experience, experience in a health/social care environment and a proven track record of achievement & delivery in complex and rapidly changing environments.


The post holder must be able to grasp and present complex multi-factorial agendas reconciling competing interests; think innovatively “out of the box” to lead the development of innovative solutions to strategy and action on service delivery and health improvement; display high levels of concentration and tact in relation to personally sensitive and/or political issues; project manage and influence other senior staff, professionals and clinical teams; deal with challenging, emotionally charged, sensitive and sometimes aggressive personal and group encounters; overcome resistance from stakeholders to change; operate at Local, Regional and National levels; be a team worker and builder; deliver a major change agenda often at arm’s length and through other organisations and deliver results.
