The vaccine holding centre is based within Falkirk Community Hospital. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Pharmacy Technician, Vaccine Services and the Senior Pharmacy Support Worker Vaccine Services in the supply of vaccines to ensure delivery of the National Immunisation Programmes within locations throughout NHS Forth Valley.

You should be an organised person who can work to deadlines and enjoys interaction with members of the public and healthcare staff.

Duties will include receipt of vaccine deliveries and ensuring their correct storage. Assembly of all vaccine orders, delivery of vaccines to GP surgeries, Health centres and Schools/Colleges in Forth Valley, ensuring cold chain maintenance is adhered to at all times. Assisting the Senior Pharmacy Technician Vaccine Services and Senior Pharmacy Support Worker Vaccine Services with any Cold Chain or Vaccine related workload.

Previous experience in a related field would be advantageous but not essential.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

Part time hours will be considered.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk

Weekend working is a requirement of this post and participation in working Public Holidays.

Term time hours will be considered for this position.
