Post Title: Senior Dental Officer – Priority and Vulnerable Care Dentistry (3 posts)
Base: Parkhead Hub & Health Centre, Vale Health and Care Centre and Royal Alexandra Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to these posts of Senior Dental Officer (Priority and Vulnerable Groups) to support the clinical management and treatment of priority group patients within the Public Dental Service (PDS) in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
The successful candidates will be involved the treatment of complex and vulnerable patients both registered and referred to the Public Dental Service, utilising a range of clinical techniques including sedation and general anaesthetic within both fixed and mobile clinics.
The post holders must be registered with the General Dental Council as a dentist.
The successful applicants will be expected to have regular contact with a range of partners including:
- PDS staff
- Complex Needs Team Members
- Glasgow University
- Secondary Care dental colleagues
- Oral Health Improvement Teams
The post holders will be required to work 37.5 hrs per week (part-time and job share requests will be considered), to provide clinical care and leadership across all services within their remit which may include the out of hours service.
