£126,046 per annum, pro rata

4 hours per week



We are seeking an inspiring and committed Realistic Medicine Lead to join our dynamic Forth Valley Quality Team. This pivotal role will work closely with our Realistic Medicine Programme Manager and report directly to the Clinical Director for Quality.

Are you passionate about the principles of Realistic Medicine and Value-Based Health and Care? Do you believe this approach can create meaningful improvements in patient outcomes, staff experience, and service sustainability?

We are looking for a candidate from primary care who can bring energy, insight, and enthusiasm to this important role. You will play a central part in driving forward our Realistic Medicine agenda and delivering real impact for patients and services across NHS Forth Valley.

As Realistic Medicine Lead, you will:

  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across health and care to co-design and implement our Realistic Medicine strategy.
  • Champion shared decision-making, person-centred care, and better value across our systems.
  • Support a culture of continuous learning and improvement that prioritises outcomes and experiences that matter most to people.
  • Help embed Realistic Medicine principles into everyday practice to deliver more sustainable and effective care.
