Applications are invited from candidates with a First or Upper Second Class BSc Honours Degree in Genetics or an associated life science subject as a minimum for entry to the NHS Scotland post-graduate training scheme for Genomics based in Edinburgh. This will be based in the South East of Scotland Genetics Laboratory, which is currently at the Western General Hospital but will move to the NHS Lothian Lauriston site at a future unconfirmed date. The department offer high standards in terms of facilities and expertise to support trainees. Training will follow an agreed training programme framework, which will enable the trainees to build a portfolio of evidence for assessment and subsequent registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Scientist.
