About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Management Application Specialist to take a lead role in supporting and enhancing our digital health infrastructure. This pivotal position focuses on the management and development of the SCI Store Patient Records Repository, the Orion Clinical Portal, and provides advanced support for key Primary Care Systems and other essential IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational support and continuous improvement key systems, including supporting system upgrades and testing
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the clinical portal, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for primary care systems, working closely with clinical and IT teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system enhancements and implement innovative solutions.
  • Support integration projects and data quality initiatives across the patient management ecosystem.
  • Deliver training and guidance to end-users and junior team members.

About You:

  • Proven experience in healthcare IT, ideally within patient information management or clinical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electronic health records (EHR), clinical workflows, and data governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead on complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with system integration, database technology, MS SQL, data repositories, and clinical information and system integration is highly desirable.

Based in the IM&T Development team, the post holder will also support varied project work, enabling this work to be taken forward and implemented.

The role is varied therefore being able to multitask, learn complex processes, attention to detail and a ‘can do’ attitude are key attributes we are looking for you to demonstrate on your application and at interview.
