An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist / Clerical Officer based at Girvan Community Hospital.

What you will do:

An opportunity has arisen to join the Business Support Team within Girvan Community Hospital.

We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to provide a comprehensive, confidential Reception, Administrative and Health Records service to Nursing, Medical and Senior Locality Co-ordinator based within Girvan Community Hospital.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Applicants should be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
  • SVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health records experience is desirable.
  • Applicants must be flexible and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative as well as part of a team is essential.
  • Applicants should be able to work under pressure and communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and clinicians.

24 hours per week, working Monday – Thursday 1 pm – 5pm and Friday 8.30 – 5 pm
