Physiotherapy - Children and Young People – NHS Lothian

2x 1.0 WTE Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist

We are looking for a creative, innovative physiotherapist to join our Children and Young People Physiotherapy Service. This is a great opportunity if you would like to develop your knowledge and skills within a children and young people setting.

You will join a team who deliver a range of physiotherapy services to children and young people up to 16 years. The service is arranged in a number of specialty teams including: musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, burns and plastics, haematology and oncology, community, neurology and respiratory. This post is largely based within the inpatient setting with 6 monthly rotations through the specialty teams. We are looking for a physiotherapist with relevant clinical experience who has an interest in working with children and young people. The age of the population we see means that experience working with children and young people is beneficial but not essential. This post would suit someone who is interested in working with children and young people and is looking to be part of an inter-professional team. You should be committed to life-long learning to support the service to deliver safe, effective person-centred care. We are committed to ensuring staff have the resources available to them to support continuing professional development across the 4 pillars of practice.

There is a requirement for on call within this role and support and training is provided.

We would encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch and come for a visit as you may find this is the post you have been looking for!

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
