We have a vacancy for a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our team in Perth Royal Infirmary, Perth. This post offers the opportunity for a SLT to consolidate their learning and gain experience working within an adult acquired speech and language therapy service. This post is ideally suited to a band 6 however applications from NQPs or Band 5 SLTs will be considered.
Clinical areas covered include stroke rehabilitation, progressive neurological conditions and dementia. The job is primarily working with inpatients but there will be the opportunity to see out patients and to follow people up when they go home. The caseload in this role will be primarily communication impairment depending on experience and the post holder will be expected to assess patients, plan and carry out therapy with supervision as required and liaise with family members and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
You will join a small supportive team of experienced therapists and work closely with our SLT support worker in Perth Royal Infirmary but will also become part of our larger service across the whole of Tayside. Professional development is supported and encouraged, and all newly qualified therapists are supported to complete the Flying Start Programme. There is a local Band 5 network which provides peer supervision and training. You must be HCPC registered.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, part time hours will be considered. Fixed Term until 31 March 2026.
