We are currently looking for a Depute Facilities Manager, based at Belford Hospital, Fort William.
The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility for the management of the Facilities team within Lochaber which includes Belford Hospital, Fort William Health Centres, and both internal and external staff accommodation.
The successful candidate would have the opportunity to support the team through transition, as the plans for the future of a new hospital in Fort William, is an exciting time of change.
The Café within the Belford Hospital is a new venture, and providing this new service and developing it, for colleagues and patients & external visitors, is also a service to be managed and developed by the Facilities Management & team.
The role would be to ensure all Policies and Procedures are managed to meet legislation, ensuring risk management techniques alongside best practice within the area of responsibility are all being met.
You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with local managers and other relevant colleagues to ensure a flexible client focused approach within Facilities which recognises changes in Healthcare provision.
You will recruit, train, develop and motivate staff to deliver and maintain patient centred services, optimising the effectiveness of your personal contribution. Excellent communication and IT skills are required.
The successful applicant will require to travel to all NHS Sites in the local geographical area, a fleet vehicle is available for travelling to sites. A full clean driving licence is required, however access to economical public transport is acceptable.
We offer a full comprehensive induction and training package. This is a role that leads Soft facilities staff within the Lochaber Highland sites to support the delivery of patient care within specified requirements, quality standards and budgets.
The postholder also provides management support to the Facilities Manager for the functions across North West Highland area.
