Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Midwife at Ayrshire Maternity Unit.

What you will do:

An opportunity has arisen within Maternity Services for an experienced midwife to undertake this senior charge midwife role within Maternity Assessment Unit and Maternity Daycare Monitoring.

We are looking for a forward thinking individual with rotational experience throughout maternity services and a willingness to develop oneself in line with service developments.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Clinical Risk and Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance within the service. The will have demonstrable experience of the utilisation of Once for Scotland policies and supporting staff through these policies including conduct and capability. They will also have experience and knowledge of performing the role of hospital co-ordinator for women and children’s services.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • First level midwifery qualification with first degree (or evidence of continuing professional development for existing post holders) equivalent to level 9 of Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) as a minimum. Current NMC Midwifery Registration.
  • You will have experience with systems including Turas and SSTS.
