CLINCAL DEVELOPMENT FELLOW IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE


The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Emergency Department is like any five year old. Energetic. Ambitious. Awake at all hours. Changing every day.


Since beginning our journey, the Emergency Department team of Scotlands showpiece hospital have been evolving and developing an enviable research portfolio under our EMQUIRE umbrella, with a focus on Quality Improvement, Education and leading innovation projects.

 

We have a number of Clinical Development Fellow posts available to start in August 2020. These posts will be based on a 12-month contract with the possibility of 6-month contracts also being available. These posts are all 70% clinical and 30% non-clinical split with the non-clinical time focussed on a range of disciplines including teaching, research, quality improvement, trauma, paediatric emergency medicine and much more. You will become part of the team in Scotlands largest and newest Emergency Department, driven to excel in Emergency and Trauma Care. You will play a fundamental role in our team as we progress towards opening as a Major Trauma Centre. Will we train you, develop your clinical skills and knowledge and help you achieve your future career goals. You will leave the QEUH Emergency Department with a passion for EM, a robust CV, a smile on your face and a skip in your step! You do not need any prior experience in Emergency Medicine, we will aim to provide you with the core teaching and supervision similar to that of an FY2 / CT1 grade.
