We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

We are looking for a Housekeeper for the New Victoria Hospital (NVH) Regular dialysis unit (RDU).

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the nursing team based in the Renal Dialysis Unit within the new Victoria Hospital.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a high quality efficient service. This will include stock management and ordering, domestic cleaning, catering duties and waste management alongside assisting patients with basic care and performing moving and handling procedures.

The RDU unit provides haemodialysis treatment to 150 renal dialysis outpatients, with 3 patient shifts operating 24 hours per day.

The unit is a very busy, friendly and welcoming outpatient area. It is part of the larger regional renal services, which consist of 6 outpatient haemodialysis units, a community home therapies unit and the main inpatient hub housed on level 4 of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

The role of Housekeeper is pivotal in helping with the smooth running of the RDU, working closely with the Senior Charge Nurse to ensure a clean and tidy environment and ensuring stock levels are maintained.

Applicants should be flexible, reliable, and self-motivated and demonstrate ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an understanding of basic computer skills including email and pecos order system.

Previous experience in a health care environment is essential. The post holder will work Monday – Friday, hours of work to be discussed with the Senior Charge Nurse.
