This post is fixed term for: 12 months.


The Assisted Conception Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary is seeking to appoint a motivated and dynamic staff nurse who will deliver high quality nursing care to this patient group.

You will provide professional nursing care in all aspects of clinical nursing practice and care of people having Assisted Conception Techniques, Gamete storage and Pre Genetic Diagnosis within the Acute Division of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. You will work across professional and organisation boundaries within the West of Scotland NHS structure to provide seamless care of patients who access the above services.

You are an experienced nurse who, acting within your professional boundaries will provide care for the patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. You will demonstrate, clinical decision making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the West of Scotland Assisted Conception Service. You will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision making process. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC. As holding current full professional registration is an essential requirement for the post, candidates who do not complete the professional registration section of the application form or who do not hold current full registration may not be considered for shortlisting.
