SPECIALITY DOCTOR (8PA’s)
GENERAL ADULT PSYCHIATRY
NORTH AYRSHIRE COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH
NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking to recruit a dynamic Speciality Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to join the North Ayrshire Community Mental Health Team based at the Three Towns Resource Centre. The successful applicant will work flexibly alongside 5.0 WTE General Adult Consultants in North Ayrshire, covering community clinical work in defined catchment areas based on GP practices. Acute inpatients beds are sited locally in our purpose-built unit, Woodland View, within Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership has a well-established Community Mental Health Team supported by a 24 hour Crisis Service. The Terms and Conditions of service are those determined by the Speciality Doctor Contract and the post is offered on a 8 programmed activity basis. Applications from individuals who may wish to work on a job share basis will be welcomed, and those who wish to work towards either MRCPsych or CESR will be supported. Workload will be reviewed regularly to ensure it is appropriate and sustainable. Appropriately experienced applicants must have Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practice and 5 years post-graduate medical experience with a minimum of 2 years in th speciality of Psychiatry. The post involves travel and a full driving licence is essential.
