Post: StR Locum Appointment for Training (LAT)/Clinical Fellow in Dermatology


Location: Glasgow Royal Infirmary

 

 This post offers full time for a period of 12 months.

 

This post will cover Glasgow with clinical work at GRI & Stobhill hospitals. There are additional links to the Alan Lyell Centre for Dermatology in QEUH, Glasgow.

 

Adult dermatology services in North Glasgow are provided by the clinical directorate of dermatology, the Alan Lyell Centre for Dermatology.  The Directorate works on a hub and spoke model, with inpatient beds and some specialised and tertiary services based at the . This is the regional adult dermatology centre for approximately 1.5 million people in the West of Scotland. 

 

Local adult dermatology services are delivered at eight hospital sites – Glasgow Royal Infirmary, , , , , Vale of Leven Hospital, Victoria Ambulatory Care Hospital and West Glasgow ACH. Each of these sites provides a range of dermatology out-patient services.


Dermatology services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of practitioners including Consultants, Specialty doctors, GP clinical assistants and specialist dermatology nurses, working within an inpatient ward and outpatient department. The QEUH forms the hub for subspecialty clinics and is the tertiary adult inpatient unit.


Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they possess ST competencies. Trainees with previous training experience are welcomed and there is no limit on the number of months of previous training experience.

To practice medicine in the you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice.
