NHS Grampian are excited to be opening a new Medical Equipment Library. We are looking for an Assistant Medical Engineering Technician to support this Medical Equipment Library.
Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) is a branch of Medical Physics that provides a comprehensive range of management activities for medical equipment defined as a health care product used in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention or alleviation of illness or injury. Correct and accurate operation of medical devices is essential for safe diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The post-holder is required to provide an equipment library service, which involves supporting wards to deliver care by ensuring supplies of medical equipment are available through a centralised store (library). The post holder would be responsible for delivery, collection and some maintenance of a wide variety of equipment.
The post holder would be a member of a team of Specialist Technologists working within the Medical Equipment Management Service based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
