Do you want to make difference to Rural and Remote Health? Are you interested in supporting leadership to deliver the GMC regulated credential in this area, that will apply across the UK?
The Scotland Deanery has been asked to develop and deliver a credential in Rural and Remote Health, which will be approved, quality assured and recognised by the General Medical Council. The credential will address a service and patient safety need for General Practitioners and other doctors in non-training grade positions working in these contexts to extend and enhance skills that are not covered in specialty training.
A senior doctor currently working in the NHS in Scotland is needed to join a team leading on the development of the credential in Rural and Remote Health for the Scotland Deanery, as it moves through and beyond the stages of regulatory approval.
Applicants must be qualified to MBChB or equivalent and have a broad understanding of the GMC, and rural and remote healthcare issues. Current practical experience of medical education and training in the NHS in Scotland is essential. A full job description is available.

Based in Scotland, flexible location to be agreed with successful candidate.
Part time, up to 2 PA's (can be done by 2 people as 1 PA each).
