The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 4.00pm, Friday 8.00am-3.00pm (30mins lunch)

Purpose To support effective clinical care by providing an efficient reception service to Patients, Visitors, General Practitioners, Medical and Nursing Staff. Ensure patient appointments are administered and processed accurately and that patient’s medical records remain confidential, are securely stored and are available as and when necessary. To update systems to show admission, DNA or cancellations by patients are accurate and conducted in a timely manner. To ensure smooth running of the reception area at all times. To assist patients, visitors, contractors, medical & nursing staff with any enquiries.

This post would support the existing full time Receptionist, to ensure administrative support to the Eastwood Health and Care Centre at all times. Cross site cover (Barrhead Health and Care Centre) may also be required on occasion.

The post holder will adhere to NHSGGC policies eg. Health and Safety, GDPR and Confidentiality.

Although the position is line managed, following induction and on the job training, the Clerical Officer/Receptionist requires to work on their own initiative managing their daily workload and all administrative tasks associated.

Guidance and assistance is available from supervisor/line manager as required. Each post holder will have a Personal Development Plan.
