Band 8B*
Salary Range £59,539 - £64,095 per annum
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,895 per annum
Relocation Assistance of up to £8,000 available
An excellent opportunity has arisen to appoint a new Chief Midwife.
We are seeking to recruit an inspiring, passionate, talented individual who will support the consistent delivery of high standards of care with a focus on improving patient safety and patient experience, in line with the national care assurance framework for Scotland – Excellence in Care and Best Start.
The post holder will have experience of leading nurses and midwives, relevant clinical services and Board wide initiatives. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successfully leading clinical teams, managing change and putting safety, quality and patient experience at the heart of everything you do.
Joining our organisation as Chief Midwife you will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of Women’s Health Services, this includes Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Safeguarding, Sexual Health and Forensics. As part of the Hospital Management Team, the Chief Midwife will work collaboratively with other heads of service and senior clinicians to provide assurance to the Executive Team and the Board that robust systems of governance and care assurance are in place and that high quality patient led services are being developed and delivered.
As part of the senior nursing/midwifery leadership team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of service plans and where appropriate, hold a clinical caseload.
