We are looking for an individual to join our Hospital at Night (HaN) Team within Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for a part-time post, two nights per week. As part of the multidisciplinary team you will provide high standards of care to patients out of hours by supporting a range of activities central to the HaN service. You require to work without direct supervision while carrying out a range of clinical tasks in the course of your duties i.e.  venepuncture, cannulation, updating TrakCare requests, performing ECGs and administration and clerical tasks as required. This post covers the majority of wards within the hospital.

You should have relevant experience of working within acute health care or as a current Clinical Support Worker in an acute adult hospital, highly competent and trained to take bloods, insert cannulas and do ECGs as part of your current role.

Current venepuncture and cannulation skills as part of your role are essential to apply for this post.

Note that Statement of Support within Application Form must describe expertise in current venepuncture and cannulation skills or you will not be shortlisted.

We are looking for an individual with well developed communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

You will be required to work two 11 hour night shifts per week.  Flexible working is an essential part of the role.
