Theatre Staff Nurse/ODP Band 5
All Posts will be based within Inpatient theatres in the Clyde Sector of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
Band 5 Theatre Practitioner, Full Time permanent post .The unit consists of 9 operating theatres, and a 12 bed recovery room. The unit provides peri-operative care for patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures including, Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, ENT and both elective and trauma Orthopaedics. In addition to having current NMC/HCPC registration applicants should have an interest of working in the peri-operative environment. Previous experience within the peri-operative environment, is a definate advantage. The department offers team support and continuing education opportunities. You are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs over a 7 day week, including night shift. Furthermore, you will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse/ODP with the NMC and that you have the abilities outlined within the job description. The shift pattern for this posts is over 4 days. 8.00am - 6.00pm, 12.30pm - 10.00pm, 9.30pm - 8.00am.
The successful candidates are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs over a 7 day week, including night shift. Furthermore, the successful candidates will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service.
