002114 Flow Centre Coordinator
The Flow Centre is an award winning team based at Astley Ainslie that coordinates all urgent care and transport for patients across Lothian. The Flow Centre is open 7 days per week 365 days per year, answering 4500 inbound calls per week. Come and be part of a multi-disciplinary service that has a Lothian wide view of care and be part of making a difference to the patient journey. We are looking for a positive team player that enjoys a busy working environment, is flexible and is patient focussed, with excellent coordination skills.

The Coordinator role includes:
- Taking calls from health care professionals for front door referrals to sites in NHS Lothian
- Using agreed guidance, support health care professions to access and utilise alternative pathways to admission
- Use acquired knowledge and skills to plan and allocate appropriate transport, based on patients clinical requirements
- Using Trak book transport for discharge of patients from NHS Lothian and NHS Borders sites.
