Applications are welcome for a Senior Dental Officer to support the development and delivery of special care dentistry in Fife. The wide-ranging, key responsibilities of the post are reflective of the large agenda and diverse patient groups. Therefore, the post can be tailored to suit the right candidate with particular interests, skills and experience.
In general, you will work throughout the region, providing high quality dental care for vulnerable patient groups, some with a wide range of disabilities or impairments. You will accept referrals from a number of sources, providing assessment and treatment under general anaesthesia and sedation where required.
With a proven ability of delivering dental care to vulnerable patients, some with additional or complex needs, you will also have experience of working within the NHS. An ability to deliver sedation would be advantageous.
You will possess a dental degree be fully registered with the GDC and possess a relevant postgraduate qualification.
With excellent public transport links to Tayside and Lothian, Fife also boasts a rugged, beautiful coastline and a wide range of recreational activities and facilities.
