An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Oncology for an organised individual to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant will be based in the oncology department, working predominantly within the inpatient ward but will be required to vary their workplace within the chemotherapy and clinic outpatient settings when required.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment for patients, carers and relatives within the oncology unit. As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will carry out routine individual care duties for patients, clients, carers and relatives. Duties will include Phlebotomy skills, administration duties, ordering of supplies, answering phones and dealing with the public on a daily basis and carrying out general tasks to ensure an efficient clinic flow.
Working closely with the Senior Nursing and Medical team would be expected. Excellent communication is essential. Knowledge of Computer and referral systems used within NHS Scotland would be beneficial but not essential as training would be given.

Hours of work are: 23 hours per week, Day/Night rotation
