The pharmacy department is looking for a hard working person to join our team.

You will be flexible and should be able to work in both a stores and office environment.

Your duties will be varied and include over-labeling of medicines, receipt of goods from suppliers, maintenance of stores stock, preparation of ward orders, ward top-up, answering the telephone, computer work and reception duties.

This post requires you to be physically able to lift and handle medicines including infusion boxes.  You may spend most of the day on your feet and must be able to bend and stretch to retrieve medicines and also to put stock onto shelves.  You will also be required to manoeuvre trolleys.

You will be based at the Victoria Hospital but will be required to work at both Queen Margaret and Victoria Hospital Pharmacy Departments to meet the needs of the service with participation in a weekend and Public Holiday Rota.

Applications are welcomed from someone currently working in a pharmacy or similar environment; You will be required to work towards an SVQ Level 2 Pharmaceutical Sciences if this qualification is not already held.
