We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitor to join our Health Visiting team within NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
We are looking for a Health Visitor who will provide safe, effective, client-centred care, have an excellent knowledge of the current developments within health visiting and have a proven track record of continuous professional development and innovative practice.
The Universal Health Visiting Pathway sets the standard for health visiting and the minimum core visits those families with Children aged 0-5 years can expect from their health visitor, regardless of where they live in Scotland. As the Health Visitor you will promote the well being of Children and their families in accordance with the Universal Health Visiting pathway utilising the GIRFEC principles and approach. As a Health Visitor for Children 0-5 years you will be required to assess for health needs and commence the Childs planning process. This involves taking responsibility for monitoring the child’s wellbeing, working in partnership with the child’s family and all agencies involved to produce a child’s plan which will require to be reviewed regularly.
You will provide an accessible, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective health visiting service to the children and families of NHS Dumfries and Galloway. Good communication and organisational skills coupled with the ability to work within a team setting as well as independently, will be an essential requirement of this post.
