An excellent opportunity has arisen for a high calibre professional to join West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership in the role of Head of Health.
This post will operate at strategic level in support of the HSCP Director to ensure national and local strategies are developed, implemented and reviewed to meet the healthcare needs of the West Lothian population. The post will provide strategic and operational leadership for primary care, community and mental health services together with pan Lothian hosted oral health and podiatry services and will direct the senior management team to ensure successful achievement of the overall HSCP objectives and successful development of integrated working across the Partnership.
Educated to degree level with evidence of continuous professional development together with a recognised management qualification at SCQF 11 (Masters) the successful candidate will have significant experience at a senior level in strategic and operational management in a healthcare or equivalent complex organisation. As a professional leader with well developed influencing and communication skills they will have the ability to build strong relationships across our complex organisation and the personal credibility and interpersonal skills to lead and deliver transformational change in demanding role. An understanding of current developments in health and social care is essential.
West Lothian HSCP is the delivery arm of the West Lothian Integration Joint Board, a Partnership between NHS Lothian and West Lothian Council developed to enhance the delivery of integrated health and social care services to the people of West Lothian.
