As a result of the physical relocation of our in-patient service we are aiming to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. You will play a key role in shaping the evolving model of care. You will also ensure that the unique Occupational Therapy contribution consistently meets the needs of the people who are admitted for assessment and treatment.

You will be based within the 10 bedded assessment and treatment unit at Woodland View Hospital working as part of an in-patient interdisciplinary team. The post holder will also be included as a member of the wider integrated service for people with learning and intellectual disabilities.

As an autonomous practitioner you will manage a specialist caseload undertaking collaborative and profession specific assessments, deliver person centred and occupational focused interventions and support people with transitions.

You will be an excellent communicator, have a high level of organisational skills and be able to demonstrate good clinical reasoning. You will be able to work independently using your initiative, but you will also be a motivated team player. The team places strong emphasis on health promotion and reducing health inequalities for our client group. 

We strive to deliver evidence informed practice and support our staff to participate in training, development and supervision which supports their growth and service delivery.

A Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration and experience within this field are essential requirements and at least two years within a relevant setting is preferred.

 

A car owner/driver is essential.

Hours: 22.5 per week.
