2 Year Secondment Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity to lead the executive support function for the NHS Scotland Health Board Chairs, Chief Executives and other Executive Directors' groups has arisen.
The Head of Executive Support Function will work closely with members of these groups, with Scottish Government officials and other key partners. They will be responsible for supporting the generation and management of the workplan for the Board Chief Executives & Chairs Groups, and associated groups to ensure that the vision and aims of NHS Scotland are effectively progressed. As well as directing the provision of executive support services, they will also be responsible for managing interfaces between these groups and associated groups and bodies. This will require a high level of credibility, diplomacy and influencing skills to generate the commitment and teamwork needed to impact on the development of health and care across organisational boundaries.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, almost certainly with evidence of a post-graduate qualification. They will have an extensive proven track record in formulating new approaches and experience in change management at a senior level as well as significant experience of development of healthcare services within the NHS with a clear understanding of and commitment to delivery of the agenda and direction of NHS Scotland.
