Locum Consultant Cardiologist
University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking for a Locum Consultant Cardiologist to join its existing team of Consultants and wider multi-disciplinary team.
This is a new post which will enhance existing inpatient and outpatient capacity, and will support ongoing service development including the provision of a Cardiology in-reach service to the acute admission wards. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to the PCI or general medical on call rota depending on prior training.
The Cardiology service is centred on a well-equipped department, where there is input to coronary care, an established stress echo service, pacemaker implantation service, and rapid access chest pain clinics. The department has an excellent track record in relation to clinical trials and research.
It is an exciting time to join UHM as all clinical staff are also actively encouraged to contribute to the planning of clinical models to support the business case for a new hospital.
