We have two posts available both are 37.5 hours on is permanent and the other is fixed term for one year.
An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse. You will become a skilled member of the Endoscopy team, providing the highest standard of specialist patient care without direct supervision. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and follow standards/protocols in order to give a quality service to patients. You will use your specialist clinical skills to carry out endoscopy care for patients in a safe and effective manner. You will be expected to delegate appropriately to junior/support staff showing a full understanding of staff abilities before delegation of duties from patient care plan. You will develop programmes of care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating specialist patient care to be carried out by themselves and other members of staff. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Adult Nurse with the NMC and having endoscopy experience would be advantageous
The unit is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We also have an evening session on a Monday evening where the unit opens to 9pm providing a service to both out-patients and inpatients. GRI Endoscopy unit comprises of 3 rooms that service a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP and EUS for adults. To meet the service demands you may be required to work at other endoscopy units within the Greater Glasgow & Clyde area.
