The Glasgow and Clyde Adult Eating Disorder Service is a service that meets the complex needs of adults with moderate to severe eating disorders. It is a multidisciplinary service consisting of practitioners from psychiatry, clinical psychology, nursing, dietetics and occupational therapy.
The service offers a tier three specialist service for patients with eating disorders.
There is a substantial investment in joint working both within team and across Community Mental Health Teams. The main remit of the service is to offer a more intensive treatment intervention to individuals with severe eating disorders across the outpatient and inpatient sector.
The service has currently has four beds in Armadale Ward, McKinnon House, . The service offers inpatient treatment, a day programme and outpatient treatment.
There postholder will be expected to join the shared on call rota for which is approximately 1:25 and will be supported by appropriate medical secretary time.
