Head of Service Post
Band 8b
37.5 hours plus on call
An opportunity has arisen within the West Region for a Head of Service Position. This position will be based within the Glasgow and the post holder’s base will be determined at interview. All Head of Service posts within the Region are generic and the successful candidate would be responsible for the operational management of all SAS assets within that Sub Region.
The post holder will also carry a strategic portfolio of work as the lead officer across the sub region and will be expected to engage with partners within the NHS and externally at a strategic level.
This is an autonomous Senior Post within the Region and the successful candidate will be an individual who has a track record of delivering at a minimum of middle management level and has a proven ability of achievement in operations and in delivering strategical objectives. Applicants should be able to demonstrate well developed leadership and management skills. It is essential to have strategic experience working within a complex organisation delivering and meeting performance targets.
