You will provide clinical, managerial and professional leadership to staff in the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) including ISSU18 and Neuro-developmental teams, Speciality Health and Wellbeing Service for Looked After Children, and Acorn House Short Break Service to ensure that safe, effective and person centred care is delivered. Other aspects of service provision may be deemed relevant to this role in the future as a result of the organisations sustainability and modernisation work programme.
You will have a key role in supporting improvement work to support in the first instance CAMHS and Neuro-development, both of which are currently priority pieces of work for the Directorate.
You will contribute to the corporate management of the Directorate through the Directorate Management Team and seamless working with the Clinical Director, Speciality Management Teams, Lead Nurse and Lead Allied Health Professional.
You will be based at The Willows Children, Young People and Family Centre and will work 37.5 hours per week. You must have the ability to travel independantly across Dumfries and Galloway.
It is essential that you are currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council or Nursing & Midwifery Council, with clinical, operational and line management experience. You will require a first level degree/ supplemented by specialist training or equivalent experience to masters level. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is experience of budgetary control and implementing HR policies. It is desirable that you have a mental health nursing qualification or equivalent Allied Health Professional experience.
