EMERGENCY NURSE PRACTITIONER / ANP

34.5 HOURS PER WEEK, PERMANENT

SALARY SCALE:    BAND 6 - £31,800 - £39,169 PRO RATA PER ANNUM

                                 BAND 7 - £39,300 - £46,006 PRO RATA PER ANNUM

The Emergency Department is looking to recruit a qualified band 6 Emergency Nurse Practitioner  with a recognised minor injuries and non-medical prescribing course or a qualified Advanced Nurse practitioner, band 7 with a recognised  acute clinical assessment  and non-medical prescribing course .  Candidates should have at least 2 years experience working in an Emergency Department.

The Emergency Department offers a wide variety of opportunities for personal and professional development. This post requires the successful candidates to have a broad knowledge base, adapt quickly to changes in activity and be an enthusiastic team member.

The Emergency Department see's over 35,000 attendees pre year. Day to day there are on average 100 patients but this can peak at 150. We see both Adults and children, approximately 20% of attendances are paediatric.  We have a strong team ethos and a drive for continued improvement.
