NHS GREATER GLASGOW AND CLYDE ADVANCED MEDICAL TRAINING FELLOWSHIP (AMTF) ADVANCED RHINOLOGIC SURGERY AND ENDOSCOPIC ANTERIOR SKULL BASE SURGERY
This post is available from August 2020 for a period of 12 months.
Training will be provided in all aspects of Open and Endoscopic Rhinologic Surgery. The Fellow will gain experience in modern Endoscopic approaches for Benign and Malignant Disease, and will work as part of a Tertiary Rhinology Service. You will participate in the GG+C Skull Base Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), the North Glasgow Head and Neck MDT and have day to day responsibility for continuity of care of patients undergoing treatment and investigations for a spectrum of Rhinological conditions, with participation in Outpatient and Operative Sessions on various sites across NHSGGC.
It is anticipated that prior to commencing the post you will have demonstrated a sound Basic Training in Surgical Rhinology, and be competent in Endoscopic Sinus Surgical techniques. Experience of Skull Base Surgery, Surgical Navigation techniques and advanced open approaches is, however, not required as these will form the focus of the AMTF year. The successful candidate will provide on-call cover as part of the senior rota.
