Clinical Fellow in Acute Services (2 posts)
Applications are invited for these fixed term, 12 month 40 hours per week posts within St John’s Hospital, Livingston. Applications welcome from trainees having at least recently completed or about to finish the UK Foundation Programme to apply for the position of Acute Service Fellow or CDF in acute care clinical specialties in Lothian.
These posts are scheduled to commence August 2020 for 12 months however applications will be considered for those wishing to work for less than 12 months. These posts will be paid in line with the pay and conditions of service remuneration of hospital medical and dental staff
These posts do not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.
Working within the Medical Unit at St John’s Hospital, these posts will give successful applicants the opportunity to experience acute care clinical specialties of professional interest to them before committing to a programme of training through a Core or Specialty application. These posts will offer successful applicants the opportunity to develop their clinical and professional competence in a purposeful and supervised manner as an assist to overall CV development.
The successful candidates will be working in one of the following subspecialties – Acute Medicine, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine or Diabetes and Endocrinology.
