Senior Pharmacist - Non-medical Prescribing Education and Training (Seconded Appointment) with the University of the West of Scotland School of Health, Nursing and Midwifery. 

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary, professional, academic team and will have an integral role in contributing to the writing, preparation, delivery and evaluation of the therapeutic aspects of the non-medical prescribing course for multidisciplinary staff. There will also be a small clinical commitment to utilise your prescribing role within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

You must be a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have experience in clinical pharmacy, excellent communication and IT skills, self-motivation and a strong focus on education and continuing professional development. 

You must have a Masters of Pharmacy degree or equivalent and have completed the NES Scottish Hospital Pharmacy Vocational Training Scheme (or demonstrable evidence of clinical knowledge equivalent to that level)  
In addition you must hold a Practice Certificate in Pharmacist Independent Prescribing or be working towards completion of this and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or demonstrable evidence of clinical knowledge equivalent to that level)  

Experience in education/teaching is desirable. 

The course is delivered at the Paisley campus but you will be required to work across the other campuses (Ayr and Lanarkshire) when required.

Car owner/driver is essential. 

Hours of work are: 18.75 Hours per week. (This post is a secondment which will be reviewed after 3 years in post)
