Hours: 33 - 37.5 hours per week. Location: Arduthie Ward, Kincardine Community Hospital. Contract: Permanent.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse to join our team in Arduthie Ward, Kincardine Community Hospital, Stonehaven as a Senior Staff Nurse, Band 6. The post is 37.5 hours per week covering day, night rotation and weekend work although 33 hours would be considered to fit in with 3 x 11 hr shifts. 

Suitable candidates should have post registration elderly care, palliative care and rehabilitation nursing experience at Band 5 level.

You should have the ability to provide good quality care that is evidence based and innovative and be able to develop a diversity of skills to meet the needs of the busy environment within Arduthie Ward. There is a Minor Injury Unit attached to Arduthie Ward but this is temporarily closed at present. 

We are a busy 19-bedded Ward specialising in care of the elderly, palliative care and rehabilitation. We have provision for day cases who require a variety of treatments. We also provide occasional nursing cover to Edenholme Nursing Home which is within walking distance of the hospital. 

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is keen to develop leadership skills, who will support the SCN/JCN in leading the team by example. Candidates should possess the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
