Working with a Greater Glasgow and Clyde remit you will be a highly motivated individual who will support the strategic and operational delivery of the Public Health Protection service including NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC) Covid-19 Test and Protect (T&P) programme. You will support the implementation of a consistent, integrated and effective approach to align the T&P programme with the national strategy, and deliver effective administration and clerical support to ensure a professional health protection clinical service across NHSGCC. You will work closely with the Clinical Services Manager to ensure the effective delivery of key aspects of health protection such as communicable disease and infection control, emergency planning and management outbreaks of disease. You will be responsible for managing and/or maintaining the content of web based information sites including the national T&P system, intranet, web pages, SharePoint sites, and team filing and storage systems; and for monitoring the appropriate use of office systems. You will be educated to diploma or degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent and relevant experience, and will have a good understanding of the key strategic issues facing Public Health in GGC and Scotland. You will have a demonstrable track record of success in a senior administrative or project management position within a large, complex, multi-unionised environments delivering projects and supporting the strategic direction for public health services. The ability to engage with senior staff in all disciplines including Directors, Health professionals, Senior Managers both internal and external to the organisation and foster team working and high standards of administrative support in an environment of rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines will be key. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and able to work on own initiative, a self-starter able to manage, prioritise workload, including matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature will be a prerequisite for success in the role. It is essential that you are educated to diploma /degree level or equivalent experience. You should have experience within the NHS or another large organisation working at a senior administrative level. The shift pattern for this post is worked between 8.00am – 8.00pm Monday – Friday and 9.00am – 5.00pm Saturday and Sunday.
This is a Fixed term post for 2 years.
