This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist that would suit an individual who is experienced in working with patients presenting with psychosis and complex mental health problems. The post is located in the newly launched Community Mental Health Team in West Lothian and the post holder will be working with clients who present to the CMHT with psychosis and complex mental health problems.
The post holder will be involved in providing a highly specialist service to the clients presenting to the CMHT service through the application of psychological models and associated therapies for these clients. In addition to the provision of individual and group therapies the post holder will be required to provide support to the multi disciplinary staff team through shared assessments, psychological formulation, consultancy and provision of supervision and reflective practice. Teaching and training for the CMHT service more generally will also be expected as part of the role. The post holder will additionally be expected to engage in audit and research activity.
