An opportunity has arisen for call handler positions within Renfrewshire Health & Care Partnership’s, Single Point of Access (SPoA) providing a referral and call management service to district nursing services across Renfrewshire.
Based in two locations, the service supports staff across approximately 5 bases within Renfrewshire between the hours of 8am – 8pm, 7 days per week. Monday to Friday this post will be based within Renfrew Health & Social Work Centre. There will be the requirement to work one weekend out of four – this shift may be carried out in another NHS location within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
The SPoA is the first point of contact for all telephone calls and referrals (including electronic) into district nursing, bringing staff into contact with a range of individuals, from health and social care professionals to patients and their carers/families.
A busy call centre environment responsible for answering all calls, ensuring that all referrals are input into the electronic patient information system, the onward transmission of referrals and/or messages and triage of patients as appropriate.
It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent communication skills, you are computer literate with good keyboard skills, can work well under pressure. Previous experience of a call centre or similar work is desirable. Customer care focus and good telephone skills with a helpful and pleasant manner are essential to the role. You must be reliable and flexible to meet the needs and demands of the service.
