You will play a key role in the provision of a comprehensive maintenance, repair and minor works service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde sites, which will significantly contribute to the provision of excellent patient care by being directly responsible for the management of supervisors and the activities of any combination of directly employed staff, by providing technical support to the Estates Department Multi-skill & core skilled staff, contractors and other employed persons in the completion of Estates maintenance & development works. You will manage the day to day maintenance works by prioritising tasks in terms of importance and effect on patient care. Maintenance tasks arising from planned maintenance system and unplanned breakdowns reported via the computerised Computer Aided Facilities. You will manage (CaFM) systems and urgent/emergency calls. You are required to assess importance of competing demands and allocate resources or at times negotiate with departments on work scheduling access times. It is essential that you have Completion of a registered apprenticeship in a Building services\Engineering\construction discipline SVQ Level 4 Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship - Level 4, Professional Development Awards, (SCQ - 8-9). You should have knowledge of procedures for mechanical and gas maintenance and repair of electrical equipment; BTEC/ HNC Level or City and Guilds plus relevant post apprenticeship training or equivalent experience. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday.
