Two permanent Band 7, 1.0 WTE posts have become available for experienced Psychological Therapists working within the Psychological Therapies Service.
These posts will be managed within the Joint Mental Health Team in Midlothian to provide evidence-based psychological therapies. These posts will involve undertaking psychological assessment, formulation and delivery of evidence-based psychological intervention(s) for clients presenting with a range of complex mental health needs (Matrix 3-4).
You will be joining a team of psychological therapists and psychologists. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload from admission to discharge, including the prioritisation of waiting lists, to support the delivery of national targets.
You will require good team working, excellent assessment skills and highly developed knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies e.g. CBT, CBASP, , EMDR. You may also be required to supervise, teach and support high and low intensity therapists or trainees. Experience in developing and implementing therapy groups, which are informed by a range of psychological theoretical approaches, is also desirable.

An ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
