An exciting opportunity has arisen within ward B23 Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert. B23 is a 32-bedded, Orthopaedic Trauma and Elective Ward. 


We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, kind, caring and hard working Registered Nurse to become a Senior Charge Nurse and to lead the multidisciplinary team.   A high level of interpersonal and communication and organisational skills are essential.  You must demonstrate an appetite for life-long learning and able to provide evidence of your professional development.  You will lead the implementation of the Nursing and Midwifery Strategy “We Care”. 


In Assuring Care you will have the knowledge and skill to provide the confidence in nursing care to public, patients, families, carers and organisation.  You will be able to demonstrate the evidence base for providing high quality care and you will have an understanding on quality improvement methodology.


The candidate must be looking to contribute significantly to the development of the Orthopaedic service in Forth Valley as well as developing staff.  Your experience must demonstrate that you are a Clinical expert and able to provide clinical leadership to the ward team through support and education.  The candidate will also be expected to lead surveillance, audit and excellence in care as set out in Leading Better Care.  


It is expected that the candidate will have a clinical role and work some unsocial hours, minimal weekends.  By joining us you will be part of a progressive team committed to diversity, excellence and achievement.  Being flexible to work as the situation and service requires, would be an essential aspect of this post.
