NHS Grampian Nurseries play a crucial role in the recruitment and retention of key healthcare staff. The service operates two nurseries in Aberdeen providing a total of 155 childcare places aged from 6 months to 5 years.
We are pleased to offer applicants the opportunity to join our NHS Grampian Nurseries teams of Woodend Nursery as one of our Senior Nursery Nurses. Successful applicants will work alongside members of the nursery team to lead and manage the staff and deliver a high standard of childcare within the nursery setting and contribute to the development of the service. This post offers an exciting opportunity to develop a career in childcare.
Applicants should have relevant experience of caring for children aged between 6 months - 5 years, within a nursery setting, and an awareness of implementing the Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to 3 Documentation, development of planning and team leading, as well as an SVQ level 4 (or working towards), in addition to an SVQ level 3 or HNC qualification in childcare. Flexibility between the working hours of 6.30am-6.00pm would be required with availability to work on a full-time flexi basis and as the post requests.
Further experience in line with the job description and person specification is also required.
Starting salary of £25,100 per annum.
