DIETITIAN – Band 6 Specialist Diabetes

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 dietitian to join the NHS Lothian Diabetes Dietetic Team. This post will work within the NHS Lothian Dietetic Service providing a service to patients attending Diabetic outpatient clinics for one to one advice or in groups. This part time post offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a type 1 and complex type 2 diabetes care and be a valued member of the MDT. The post currently provides clinical cover on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Haddington and Friday morning in Leith Community Treatment Centre.

You would be expected to participate in student training (A, B and C placements) and provide clinical support for other dietitians who are on leave as part of the NHSL Diabetes Dietetic Team.

We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD and clinical governance, with a supervision framework, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop your clinical skills.
